Tux Brandt is a 13-year-old boy residing in District 8. He was born on October 2nd to Marduk and Merida Brandt, with two younger sisters, Kyla and Lacey. Needle: Tux is an expert with the needle. He uses them daily at work.
Spear: Tux doesn't know much about spears. After seeing many past Hunger Games victors use them, he decided it seems like an appropriate weapon to use.
Strengths: Savvy, sly, camouflage
Weaknesses: Weak, very un-athletic, can't swim
Fear(s): Death, the end of the world.
Open to Romance?: No
Typical Alliance: Due to the unlikeliness of him finding an ally, Tux will commonly be a loner.
Physical Appearance: Tall, dark hair, pale complexion, face covered in freckles, grey-blue eyes, can appear somewhat dark an intimidating.

Personality: Although his dark appearance may suggest otherwise, Tux is a very playful young man. This trait could be quite well-known if he had any companions. Unfortunately, due to the lack of friends, he has become rather reserved. Tux passes most of his time inside his bedroom, listening to music or drawing.
If you do manage to get Tux to crack out of his shell, he can seem like a colossal smartass. Sure, he's actually a very bright kid, but does someone really need to correct everything?
Tux, although he tries, is quite flawed; un-athletic, never learned to swim, no friends and feels the need to correct everyone. But that doesn't matter to him. As previously stated, he tries. And that's all that matters.
History: You could say Tux had a quite interesting past. It started when his parents divorced. I'm not saying divorces are some abnormal thing, I'm saying that the reason it happened was quite...different. Tux's mother, Merida, had discovered her husband's illegal business: drug smuggling.
Often times he had sneaked off from work and smuggling marijuana, cocaine and many other drugs into the wealthier districts. As already stated, it didn't end very well. Tux and one of his sisters, Kyla, had no idea about this. However, his youngest sister, Lacey, overheard the two arguing about his job. Not knowing what it meant, she spread it through the district, thinking it was great to have a drug-smuggling father.
In conclusion, someone told the authorities. So, the peacekeepers whipped Mr. Brandt and raided the household. Everyone but Tux and Kyla had been killed. The two refused to go to the orphanage and ended up living in an old, abandoned factory.
But life didn't get better for the Brandt family; at his 2nd Reaping, Tux was chosen to partake in the Hunger Games. Clearly the odds weren't in his favor.
